Today I attended the Home Service Pros of San Tan Today I attended the Home Service Pros of San Tan Valley Lunch & Connect, put on by Trusted Pro Connect, and I went in expecting what you’d normally expect from a networking event—meet some local business owners, exchange introductions, and make a few new connections.

But this room was different.

It was filled with some of the most down-to-earth home service business owners I’ve met.

People were open. They were vulnerable. They talked about where they’re at in their businesses, the challenges they’re facing, and where they want to grow.

And instead of feeling like everyone was there to sell something or prove themselves, it genuinely felt like people were looking for ways to serve, encourage, and help each other succeed.

It was such a positive environment for growth, and I walked away really glad I showed up.

That’s the kind of networking I want more of.

And if you’re an East Valley business owner who could use a room like that, Trusted Pro Connect is doing it again tomorrow in Gilbert.

Friday, August 28 | 11:30 AM–1 PM
Crust Simply Italian
2470 S Recker Rd #101, Gilbert

If traditional networking events have never really felt like your thing, I’d encourage you to give this one a shot.

At 18, he dreamed about owning a business. At 40, At 18, he dreamed about owning a business. At 40, he decided it was time to make it real.

Construction has been part of Josh Senecola’s life for as long as he can remember.

He grew up in the trades, learned the industry from the ground up, and spent his career building for other people.

The dream of building something of his own was there early, too. At 18, Josh remembers sitting down with a yellow legal pad and writing his first business proposal.

But it wasn’t until turning 40 that he decided the time was right to make that dream real.

Today, he’s building Top Gun Building LLC from the ground up—and he’s refreshingly open about what this chapter actually looks like.

There’s excitement and confidence in everything his experience has taught him.

But there’s also uncertainty. The pressure of inconsistent work. The financial risk. And the question so many new business owners quietly wrestle with:

“What if this doesn’t work?”

Josh is choosing to keep building anyway—leaning on his faith, showing up each day, helping people where he can, and working toward a much bigger vision.

Five years from now, he hopes Top Gun Building will be known as one of the top general contractors in the East Valley, but even more than that, he wants to look back and see the people he helped and the community he was able to give back to along the way.

This isn’t a story about where Top Gun Building ended up.

It’s a chance to watch the story being built from the beginning.

I got to the Queen Creek Morning Mix right at 7:30 I got to the Queen Creek Morning Mix right at 7:30, and the room was already packed.

And somehow… you wouldn’t have even known it was that early. 😂

The energy was high, conversations were happening everywhere, and everyone genuinely looked like they were exactly where they wanted to be.

I’d been looking forward to this one because it felt a little more casual (and less intimidating) than a traditional networking luncheon.

I was also finally going to try the bagels from Sidewalk Coffee + Bagel—which definitely did NOT disappoint. 🥯

But what I loved most was being surrounded by other early-bird, like-minded entrepreneurs who are building businesses right here in our community.

Turns out, these are very much my kind of people. ❤️

And it was another reminder that sometimes the best thing you can do for your business is simply get in the room, start a conversation, and meet the people building alongside you.
