If you’ve spent any time in Queen Creek, chances are you’ve heard people talking about Farmer’s Daughter Coffee Shop at Schnepf Farms. Between its house-made syrups, cozy atmosphere, and community events, it’s quickly become one of the area’s favorite places to grab a coffee.
Behind the café is owner Hayden Schnepf, whose journey to opening the shop is just as unique as the drinks on the menu.
From Broadway Dreams to Brewing Coffee
Before opening Farmer’s Daughter Coffee Shop, Hayden spent three years in New York pursuing musical theater and Broadway. Like many performers, she worked at a coffee shop to support herself while auditioning.
What started as a side job quickly became something much bigger.
“I loved working in coffee,” Hayden says. “I loved the community that it created.”
Eventually, she found herself missing home and the family farm in Queen Creek. That’s when inspiration struck.
“The farm was missing a coffee shop.”
She returned to Schnepf Farms and turned that idea into reality, creating a space where great coffee and community could come together.
Coffee Brings People Together
For Hayden, the coffee shop has always been about more than espresso.
She wanted a place where neighbors could gather, families could meet up, and visitors could slow down for a while.
Her love for performing also found a home inside the café.
Every Friday evening, Farmer’s Daughter hosts Open Mic Night, giving local musicians, singers, poets, and comedians a place to perform.
“It’s the best of both worlds,” Hayden says. “I still get to sing.”
Building a Business One Day at a Time
Although Farmer’s Daughter has quickly become a local favorite, Hayden says entrepreneurship has been a constant learning experience.
One of her biggest challenges has been learning the business side of running a café.
“I’m very Type B,” she laughs. “Accounting, organizing receipts, knowing all my numbers—those have definitely been learning experiences.”
Running a family business also comes with its own unique challenges.
Working alongside her parents means plenty of spirited conversations, but even more support behind the scenes.
“It’s chaotic sometimes,” Hayden says. “But it’s all built on love.”
The Drink Everyone Orders
Ask any regular what to order, and you’ll probably hear the same answer.
The Banana Bread Latte has become the shop’s signature drink.
Originally introduced as a seasonal special, customer demand convinced Hayden to keep it on the menu year-round.
The drink features:
- House-made banana bread syrup
- Cream cheese cold foam
- Espresso
- A flavor that’s become the café’s most requested item
Hayden’s Personal Favorite
While customers rave about the Banana Bread Latte, Hayden reaches for something different.
Her favorite drink is the café’s ceremonial-grade matcha.
Using traditional preparation methods—including a matcha bowl and bamboo whisk—she says it’s one of the drinks she perfected while working in New York.
“I really put my heart into the matcha.”

What Makes Farmer’s Daughter Different
In a world full of chain coffee shops, Hayden believes the biggest difference isn’t just the drinks.
It’s the experience.
She wants every customer to feel welcomed the moment they walk through the door.
“I want people to feel at home.”
That attention to detail also extends to the menu.
Many of the syrups are made in-house, allowing the team to create unique seasonal drinks while keeping ingredients intentional and customizable.
Fall Is the Busiest Time of Year
As part of Schnepf Farms, autumn is one of the most exciting—and busiest—times for Farmer’s Daughter Coffee Shop.
During the annual Pumpkin & Chili Party, the coffee shop expands to three locations across the farm, including a pink coffee trailer in the festival grounds.
Visitors can enjoy:
- Pumpkin patch
- Chili festival
- Train rides
- Petting zoo
- Pig races
- Family attractions
- Fresh coffee throughout the farm
Sneak Peek at This Year’s Fall Menu
Hayden also shared one exciting return for fall.
The Pumpkin Roll Latte is making a comeback.
Unlike a traditional pumpkin spice latte, this version features the café’s perfected cream cheese cold foam, giving it a rich dessert-inspired flavor.
“It’s like pumpkin spice with a little more love.”
More Than Just Coffee
The café continues building community through weekly events, including:
- Trivia Nights: Thursdays
- Open Mic Nights: Fridays from 7–9 p.m.
- Summer Hours: Thursday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Whether you’re stopping in for a Banana Bread Latte, trying the ceremonial matcha, or visiting during the Pumpkin & Chili Party, Farmer’s Daughter Coffee Shop has become much more than another coffee shop—it’s a gathering place where community comes first.
