Meet the French Family Behind The Bistro Queen Creek

When Kevin and his family packed up their lives in France and moved halfway across the world to Queen Creek, they weren’t just opening a restaurant—they were chasing a dream.

Just four months after arriving in Arizona, Kevin and his wife became the new owners of The Bistro Queen Creek, bringing authentic French flavors, family traditions, and a passion for hospitality to the growing community.

Their story is one of courage, adventure, and a love for sharing French culture—one croissant at a time.

From France to Queen Creek

Originally from France, Kevin spent years working in the restaurant industry and even owned a restaurant back home.

But his family dreamed of something bigger.

“We wanted to move to the United States and live the American dream,” Kevin says.

As they searched for restaurant opportunities across Arizona, one listing immediately stood out.

The Bistro in Queen Creek felt like the perfect fit.

After visiting the community, they knew they had found their new home.

“It was the perfect match for me.”

Today, Kevin, his wife, and their seven-year-old twins, Faustine and Marceau, have embraced life in Queen Creek and are excited to become part of the local community.

A Family Business at Heart

Running The Bistro is truly a family affair.

Kevin and his wife have worked together for more than 12 years, and that partnership continues every day inside the restaurant.

When their twins aren’t in school, they love stopping by to help however they can.

“We do everything as a family.”

That close-knit approach creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that guests immediately notice when they walk through the doors.

Bringing Authentic French Cuisine to Queen Creek

While The Bistro already has a loyal following, Kevin has exciting plans for the future.

His goal is to gradually introduce more authentic French dishes to the menu while maintaining the welcoming neighborhood atmosphere locals already love.

Some of the traditional French favorites he’s hoping to add include:

  • Beef Bourguignon
  • Crème Brûlée
  • Homemade Chocolate Mousse
  • Weekly French-inspired specials

The team recently introduced their homemade chocolate mousse, and guests can expect even more seasonal specials throughout the year.

“We have many ideas.”

The Croissants Everyone Is Talking About

Ask Kevin what his favorite menu item is, and his answer comes without hesitation.

“The croissant.”

After all, he’s French.

Not long after taking ownership of The Bistro, Kevin introduced authentic French croissants to the menu, and they’ve quickly become one of the restaurant’s most popular items.

Guests can enjoy savory options like:

  • Ham and cheese croissants
  • Smoked salmon croissants

Or satisfy their sweet tooth with flavors including:

  • Strawberry
  • Chocolate
  • Caramel

Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or a light lunch, the croissants have become a customer favorite.

More Than Great Food

Kevin hopes The Bistro becomes more than just a restaurant.

As the business settles into its new chapter, he’s exploring ways to bring French culture to Queen Creek beyond the menu.

One idea he’s especially excited about is hosting French conversation groups where guests can practice speaking French while enjoying coffee and pastries.

While those plans are still developing, his goal is simple:

Create a place where people can gather, learn, and experience a little piece of France right here in Arizona.

The Biggest Challenge

Moving across the world comes with its share of challenges.

For Kevin, the biggest adjustment hasn’t been the Arizona heat.

It’s been learning to communicate in English every day.

“Sometimes it’s difficult to say exactly what I want to say.”

Despite the language barrier, he’s found the Queen Creek community to be incredibly welcoming and supportive.

Even Arizona’s famous summer temperatures haven’t been a problem.

“I like the weather—even when it’s very hot.”

A New Chapter in Queen Creek

Although Kevin and his family have only been in Queen Creek for a few months, they’re already putting their hearts into building something special.

Between introducing authentic French pastries, expanding the menu, and sharing their culture with the community, they’re excited for what’s ahead.

Whether you’re craving a flaky croissant, looking forward to trying classic French dishes like Beef Bourguignon and Crème Brûlée, or simply want to support a local family-owned business pursuing the American dream, The Bistro Queen Creek is a stop worth making.

For Kevin, the journey is just beginning—but one thing is already clear:

The American dream tastes a little sweeter with a French croissant.

I wanted something fun to decorate for the Fourth I wanted something fun to decorate for the Fourth of July, but instead of grabbing another mass-produced sign from a big box store, I came across a local mama who hand-paints custom banners from her home.

The moment I saw this one, I knew it was coming home with me.

I love that every purchase like this supports someone’s dream, helps a local family, and adds something unique to our home that you won’t find on every store shelf.

It’s one of my favorite parts of living here—there are so many talented people creating incredible things from their homes. Sometimes you just have to know where to look.

That’s exactly why I love sharing these hidden gems. The more we support our local makers, the stronger our community becomes. 💛

Tonight’s Town of San Tan Valley Community Festiva Tonight’s Town of San Tan Valley Community Festival was such a great reminder of that.

Local vendors, food trucks, neighbors catching up, kids running around, and a drone show to end the night... it wasn’t about having the biggest attractions. It was about being together.

One of my favorite parts of living here is discovering events like this that bring our community together. They’re the kind of nights that turn into core memories without having to fight traffic, pay for parking, or spend a fortune.

If you missed it this year, don’t worry—I’ll keep sharing local events, hidden gems, and things to do so you never have to wonder what’s happening around town.

I kept seeing people say, “No one is hiring.” So I kept seeing people say, “No one is hiring.”

So instead of guessing, I started calling.

I picked up the phone and called 30 businesses off Gantzel & Ironwood, asking one simple question:

“Are you hiring?”

Some said no.
Some said they weren’t sure.
But 7 businesses told me they are hiring right now, and I included everything they shared in this post.

I’m not stopping there, either.

I’m putting together a FREE list of 50+ businesses currently hiring in Queen Creek & San Tan Valley—including pay (when available), age requirements, hours, and how to apply.

It’s still a work in progress because I’m continuing to call businesses every day, but if you’d like a copy as soon as it’s finished...

👇 Comment “JOBS” and I’ll send it to you for free.

And if you know of a local business that’s hiring, tag them below or send me a message so I can add them to the guide. Let’s help connect our community with local opportunities. 💛
